The weight issue is pretty common for Selle Italia saddles. They are far heavier than advertised. I've been running this saddle on a bike for 3 years now and 2 on the other. I hope they never break because they recently got re-shaped a tiny bit, which may be enough to kill it as my favorite. If I got to buy a new one for a new bike, I can only hope I find an old stock one.
