I'm not personally familiar with the 29er size, but any of the MTBs I've seen with that size looks like it would be a bit too much rubber for the bike that is in question. The Sturmey-Archer S2C is a two speed kick back hub with a coaster brake. No cables for shifting or braking is mainly why I'm choosing it. The reason for choosing the 26" rim size is mainly because of the inexpensive and readily available tire choices.
