As the title says, the steerer in my '97 Trek 5200 is stuck. I tried using a hammer against the top bolt (old school quill), but no luck so far. I did a forum search and read about techniques to help remove a stuck steerer from a steel or alum frame but I didn't see anything specifically for CF. Some even mentioned that solvents (wd-40) shouldn't be used on a CF frame.

Any suggestions? THANKS!
