This is one reason why I hate "stupid driver" threads. I've seen far too many stupid riders. If you figured the ratio of bad riders vs bad drivers, I'm sure it would be hgiher than the bad driver figure. No to mention, these stupid riders are drivers too.

One thing that frightens me is when we come across a cycling club, on the trail or road then witness some of the stupid moves they make. Not long ago Gina and I were riding on the road. A club was gaining on us from behind, we had no idea. Till the leaders blew past us just to show that they could pass us (we knew them). Needless to say, they blew through a stop sign intersection at a high rate of speed while cars were beginning to accelerate in their turn. Cars slamming on brakes, bikes swerving, riders screaming, horns honking.

All this to impress the rest of the group that was 50 yards behind us. Something about riders in a group make them foolish.

We were shocked that they would do such a foolish thing. Not like we were racing or even knew they were there. I told Gina right then, it won't be long. I had refused ride invitaions in the past, and after the incident. If you are smart, you'll figure out what happened to those riders soon after that .

Too many stupid riders.

Glad you weren't seriously hurt.
