So... I am now working at MEC, in the bike shop. I'm finished the floor sales and bike builder training, and I have my first mechanic training session next week - YAY!! (And in three floor shifts I have sold three touring bikes, LOL)

I cannot promise there will be *no* stupid things uttered there, but considering every time a vintage bike comes in there's a Keystone Kops style jam in the doorway as *all* the mechanics and half the floor staff try to get to it and pet it, I think things will be pretty good on the whole. Which means I'll have to go lurk around OTHER shops to find things to laugh at

Over beers last week, one of the senior mechanics confided that he honestly believes bicycles have souls. I am SO in the right place.
