Yes, but those are not what would be considered "the norm."
Booger1 makes it sound like standard bikes have setups that allow for changing a spoke without removing the cassette. While 75% of the spokes on my bikes are non-rear-drive-side spokes, the only spokes that have ever broken on my bikes have been the other 25% and require removal of the cassette for replacement.

As for for the Fiberfix spokes, I carry one so that I can get through the rest of my day of riding before having to pull the wheel and cassette to replace the spoke.
