Al/steel stays with wishbone shape?
Can anyone throw up some names of Al or steel bikes with seatstays that have a wishbone shape instead of being a nearly straight strut from the rear axle to the seatpost clamp?
I am convinced that a stay of the right shape would give much of the benefit of carbon stays.
The only bike I can think of offhand is a Gary Fisher cyclocrosser that had two small s-curves in the seatstays when viewed from the back. Those would seem to let the stays flex a bit under road shock.
It's kind of hard to extract that info from manufacturers' websites sometimes because you can't always find a photo of the bike from the correct angle.
