mine 2006 caad 8 Aluminium. but let me tell you it is not even close to mine carbon tarmac comp. At the end of the day carbon can be made to flex without fatigue, where aluminum and steel will fatigue over time when flexed. So those curved stays which might flex a tiny bit cannot really compete with carbon, if anything I think they might help in reducing shock by dispersing or redirecting the load.
