I think it is just a DA crank with one chainring. Or it could be a Lance one off.

Personally, I don't think there are any Americans that could win the tour in the next few years. Ullrich and Basso are probable favorites for next year's tour.

Leipheimer, Landis, Hincapie, and Julich were in the top 20. They are 31, 29, 31, 33 respectively, so their window is closing quickly.

There are also the younger ones, Vandevelde and Zabriskie from CSC.
