It is spill proof, allows generous flow of liquid, and durable. I have had it for two years with no problems.

The insulation is reasonable, but I really do not have much of a reference point. In the winter, it takes warm liquid about 30 minutes to chill.

And of course the insulation takes space from the bottle capacity. An insulated bottle is 600ml compared with 20% more in a non-insulated bottle at 710ml.
