When I was a kid, bike helmets were only for racers, and we wore hockey helmets. They're vented too, so probably a good alternative to anything without vent holes.
As a beer league hockey player, your dome is probably better protected in a hockey helmet, IMHO. I wear a Bell Muni when I ride, so I don't heed my own advice necessarily.
