A single stay would have a straight shot from the fork's threaded eyelet to a suitable place on the fender, but so far I don't see any easy way to get the V-stay in there without making some severe and unsightly bends.
Mine came with one single stay, in addition to four pair of V-stays, and I'm tempted to just go with an asymmetric configuration. I don't think I'd mind too much aesthetically, but the single stay doesn't have the plastic break-away mechanism.
my friend also had it on the mu Uno but what you need to use is the single stay for the magnetix side. There's no way around it unless you remove the magnet for good. As for the plastic breakaway mechanism, you are supposed to remove one of those plastic thingys one one of the front v-stays and put it on the single stay. That's pretty much it, the single stay thor provided is a little thicker than the vstays for it'll hold it's own on rigidness. Plus you will need to bend it toward the wheel a bit to get it to center the fenders. But once you get the fender on, it's tight and you won't even hear the clacking when you go over bumps.
