To get around the Magnetix assembly on the left side of my front fork, I ended up just cutting off one side of the V-stay. For the right side I left the stay alone, so the setup is asymmetrical, with two stays on one side and just one on the other, but one would never notice unless he looked very closely. (This certainly wasn't hard, but I thought I'd post a photo just in case anyone else runs into this and hesitates.)

As others have said, the installation is very stable.
