I can do 50 miles, I've done it before with just the basic rides I do now.
The problems I have now is that I rode yesterday. I was good, usually the hills at the end of the ride really pose a problem. I was able to do them, not easily but good, today.. I feel it, I haven't done the climbs today but I can feel the fatigue in my legs.
You think riding 25 miles (12.5 to work, 12.5 miles back) 3 times a week and a weekday ride is good?
If I feel this stress in my legs, does that mean I should rest the following day after a ride? Or do I need to toughen up?
Yes, if you can ride Mon, Wed, Fri (taking it easy) and then a long ride on Sat, that's pretty good.
