As I've said, I've encountered a number of cyclists running blinking lights on their bikes both on the MUPs as well as on the roads after dark. And I have to say particularly when I'm riding on the roads and see a blinking light in the distance that I am able to tell that it is a bicycle. And they are a
LOT easier see from further off in the distance.
Actually these days it seems as if I am encountering more and more cyclists who are running their lights in blink versus steady mode on the roads. The "sad" thing is that it seems as if that is all that they're running. Earlier this week while on my way home, I had the opportunity to talk to a couple who were out riding and all they had was one blinking headlight on each or their bikes. I'd suggested that they add a steady light to help make it easier for them to see where they were going.
