You may be able to get a better bike at BD for same money even if you had to return it for a different size. But I hear you about the wanting to try the bike. The bike you are describing says CX to me, and those are pretty pricey. Giant brand bikes seem to have a lower $$$ for similar bikes. The http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/....2/9022/48878/ TCX has an $1100 price tag for Tiagra/Sora components. Perhaps you could find an '11 model. You could do much better at BD :-)
