You'll have to get a Sram Attack grip shifter if you want to use your Shimano derailleur. The X.# series shifters are only compatible with Sram rear derailleurs. All Sram front grip shifters are Sram/Shimano compatible. You may have to raise the front derailleur to clear the larger 48t ring. .
