Okay well, I just got that new Trek 1.2 the other day. I went to the gym today with my brother, and once we were finished, we headed to a friends house. After talking to them for about 20 minutes, these two ghetto teenagers stared us down when they saw our bikes, and rode slowly down the street. They then proceeded to hide in the bush--as if we didn't see them (LOL). I waited until they left before we decided to leave. As soon as I left, I saw them down the street at a corner store on the hood of a police car in handcuffs! They had three police cars there because they must have stolen something from the store. I guess they got impatient and decided to rob a store.

Also, I purchased a pair of Bontrager shorts, and a flare 2 rear light for my bike. I'm going there in a few more days to get a U-Lock*, helmet, Camelback water bottle(s), and a new computer. If I get this job I'm also going to invest in a pair of shoes, since the bicycle mechanic said the pedals that came with the bike are $90 brand new.

Oh, I forgot to mention how I managed to hit 26mph at a comfortable pace for about a mile or two on the street. I have several cars behind me going the same speed (speed limit is 30, not a big deal) except one loser decided to honk then veer in to me. He must have been mad at the fact a cyclist was going just as fast as he was, except he wasn't spending money on gas!
