WRONG. people ride full suspension bikes up hills all the time.

sort of depends on this really, one is not necessarily better than the other.


for $2000 you can get an excellent full suspension bike. look at the trek fuel ex6, it's light, it can handle what you want to do, and it's a really solid fun bike.
If you do want a hard tail, you can get an super excellent hard tail for $2000 as well.

For $2000, just about any bike you get is going to be great.


the MOST IMPORTANT thing about getting a new bike is fit and comfort. make sure whatever bike you get fits you and is comfy.
