So, I went and rode a Roubaix rival last night since they didn't have a Roubaix apex my size built. The LBS guy says that shifting may be a little crispier over the Apex, but you wont notice a difference. Any truth to this? They had one Roubaix Apex in the color(BLK/WHT/GREY) I wanted, so I was allowed to put a refundable deposit on it to hold it till this weekend. I did notice my back was hurting after riding, but a good stretch and the pain subsided.

Going to go test ride the other 2 tonight at the other LBS.
