I'm looking for a hybrid bike and a trailer bike. I've almost bought a 20'' Trek 7300 with womens' frame which felt like a perfect bike for me, but I had to put the seat in the lowest position on it and the store guys told me I won't be able to hitch a trailer bike on. So now I need to go to lower sizes, I guess. The problem is, the next size down for this bike is 17.5'', and too small for me. 18.5-19'' will be more like it (and it'll have to be a mens' bike since they all only make womens' in 16'' and 20'' for some reason). I've looked at Trek Navigator but this feels a bit on the heavy side. I'm going to ride mostly bike paths and an occasional dirt path, speed is not an issue, but ours is a hilly town, and I'm not in the greatest shape. I like comfort and upright position. Another bike I've looked at is Giant Sedona which is fine but doesn't feel as comfortable. Any other suggestions in the same price range ($300-450)? Are some bikes safer with trailers than others or it doesn't matter?
