I've thought this as well, but if it wasn't a failure I wouldn't feel right holding them accountable. I've only been riding for about 3 years, but I've logged about 11k (on a couple of bikes) in that time. While I guess I'm still somewhat new to riding, I thought I was pretty perceptive with regards to "feeling" anything wrong. The part that bothers me is that I still don't know what I could have done different.
