+1 Grab it NOW. I ride an 18 inch MTB, while I ride a 22 inch (56cm) road bike. And I am 5-11, but have really short legs, and a long torso. I had a really sweet 19 inch Trek MTB, but I never could get comfortable on it.

That era Univega MTB may well be made in Taiwan by KHS. Nothing wrong with that. I have a 1988 Alpina Pro (the top of the line MTB that year), bronze chrome frame, beautiful bike.

Forget about swapping the wheels for 700c. Just install slicks and go.
