Bikes: S-Works Roubaix SL2^H4, Secteur Sport, TriCross, Kaffenback, Lurcher 29er

I'd just use platforms and sneakers if you're just doing a short test ride. The things you will be looking for (does the bike handle the way you like, does it ride the way you like, is it comfortable) won't be affected by clipless pedals.
