Go with what's comfortable and don't worry about the brand. I find it hard to compare how a shoe is going to feel on a bike v. trying it on in the store. One thing is for sure, if it is not comfortable in the stote it's going to be terrible on the bike.

I went into the store thinking Sidis were the bee's knees and they ended up simply not being right for my feet. Shoe brand counts for nada. Try on as many shoes as possible so you have a frame of reference. If you've found a pair that you like, stay in them for a while. Similar to getting ski boots...if you've ever done that.
