I went into the store thinking Sidis were the bee's knees and they ended up simply not being right for my feet. Shoe brand counts for nada. Try on as many shoes as possible so you have a frame of reference. If you've found a pair that you like, stay in them for a while. Similar to getting ski boots...if you've ever done that.
