The Cube looks like a hard tail mountain bike. The other bikes you mentioned are hybrids. What kind of riding do you plan on doing? Does the suspension fork on the Cube lock out? The guys here often advise against suspension forks for riding that isn't offroad, maybe someone here with experience could speak to that issue.
It is a hardtail Mountain Bike... But I'll be purchasing a set of slicks on an extra set of rims for daily use. My chum, the chap I'll be doing most of my riding with, has indicated that we shall be going off road occasionally, building up as we go along! Best be prepared for both, methinks!
