You can score some great deals on Ti via eBay if you're patient. I've seen excellent Ti full bikes go for excellent prices there. I have ridden all frame types. Ti, carbon, and steel all rode much better than aluminum. I'd never ride an aluminum frame again. Steel is excellent but you pay about as much for a light steel frame as you will Ti, and Ti is a better material long-term cause it will never rust. Carbon has been the best ride so far but I always worry about falling and breaking it. If price was all the same I'd go Ti over everything.
