A friend of mine was a maintenance guy first serving in the Navy, later working for Grumman.

He really liked the CRC products, like SP-350.

I used some in an airplane hangar I had at the Oxnard airport, which is just a couple miles from the ocean. It worked pretty well on the steel structure.

So there is another option; just spray it down the big tubes, and possibly through the vent holes in the stays.

If your bike is stored outside, corrosion may be an issue. If it is inside, I doubt it... but that is just my $0.02 based on my own experience living a couple miles from the beach here in SoCal.
