Thanks for all the info I wanted to give you an update. I called Haro, they own Masi, and they said when they designed that frame they were using traditional bottom bracket's and didn't take into account the GXP crank which is why the chainstay has no crimp or modification to accommodate the extra thick spindle of the Omnium. They did not recommend pinging the frame because it is aluminum not steel. They did say that some people in the office had the Omnium crank on the Masi Contello and what they did was had a few mm's of the bolt holes machined out so the chain ring bolts would recess and not hit the chainstay. I took one of the chainring bolts out and it does clear by maybe a 1 mm or a little more. I wasn't comfortable with having that little clearance so I sent the crank back. Now I have to figure out what crank I am going to use and what size bottom bracket to get. It's pretty disappointing because it looks like a great crank for the price. I paid $180 shipped from Amazon.
