Some Cateye's can be set up to run continuously rather than auto-stop. When I started riding brevets I change my Cateye Mity to operate that way - I think it's a choice during initial setup or after a hard reset.
I did do the last 64k of a ride last year without putting a foot down, although I did put a shoulder down in a low-speed crash
Not sure if that counts.
