I commented about the sales rep being a dip**** because when a representative of a company comes in and wastes a shop's time by barely having a clue what he's talking about because he's accustomed to selling ski equipment, that's not a very good impression to leave.
Sorry, that was sarcasm...yes, I've seen many Scotts in person.
I don't disagree that a sales rep should better represent a company, but the fact remains that Scott sells quality bikes. I'd buy one before a Trek or a Specialized.
