My 1994 RB-T:



I had bought it for less than $500 when Bridgestone was leaving the US market. Had many good miles on it, always intended to upgrade it but never got around to doing it until now.

It had been languishing in my garage unridden for about ten years, so I took it out and rebuilt it. For the money I sank into it I could have been well on my way to a Salsa Vaya but I don't regret it (I may still get the Salsa ).

The only original parts are the seatpost and handlebars. Nitto stem, Velo Orange headset, seat off my wife's Globe Haul, rack from a friend, Tektro and Avid V-brakes I had laying around, 9 speed mostly Shimano drivetrain (Ultegra hubs and Velocity Synergy rims built up by Peter White, LX casette, XT rear derailleur, IRD compact road triple front derailleur, Dura Ace bar ends, Sugino cranks).

My only real issue was that the front brake bosses are so close together, it was a real hassle getting the Avid V-brakes set up in the front, everything ended up OK once I found the Kool Stop thinline brake pads. It's now my commuter.
