I agree underground - this is my 5th and final year for a while (need a break, have a 5 year old in little league, soccer, etc...) and every year I've ridden we've had a cool front blow in the day before, giving us headwind for two straight days - MISERABLE! The forecast is looking good right now - south wind and sunshine! Knock on wood - I may finally get a break!
I'm not sure what you are talking about. Last year we had tail wind the whole first day and it was awesome! The second day had a couple miles of head wind, but mostly tail or cross wind.
