Actually I can take my scorchers on and off with my hands. Not tight. The sidewall probably had shredded because I perennially ran them very low to compensate for the Rome cobbles. The rubber had worn down nearly entirely anyway. All in all I was quite surprised how long the scorchers lasted, given that they're not designed to last. (comfort, speed, grip, durability: you can only pick three).
