Someone mentioned the noise level of new bikes. My Giant was pretty quiet. Then I upgraded the wheelset to Mavic Ksyrium with Mavic hubs. When I freewheel that thing the noise level is like when I was a kid and put a baseball card on a stay. I thought there was something wrong with it, but I've since acquired other Ksyruium wheelsets and the freehubs are noisy on all of them.
But I love the performance of the wheels. Besides, the noise keeps the guy behind me awake in a pace line.
