I was tempted yesterday.
Had a devil of a time chasing down a guy in full kit. Into the wind....big chain ring....pushing 20 mph into the wind busting my you know what and the gap was hardly closing.

I managed to gain ground when he had to wait at an intersection ahead of me, and I did not. He was still fast and ahead of me, and I used my last bit of push to actually catch him as we slowed for the next light.

I glance over, seeing he's got a fancy U.S. Postal version of a Trek....and with a smile I was just about to say something about how tough it was to catch him, and instead of making eye contact he just looked down, ignoring me....then taking off to cut across the road, just inching in front of on-coming cars.

I of course waited...and waited....and waited....as he got smaller and smaller out ahead of me. It was tempting to have jumped out and crossed with him....but as I've written before...tie goes to the vehicle.
