I ride the hoods 90% of the time. Hard to do on these! The tricolor aero brakes on my Trek are really comfortable. This will be my century bike so comfort is a big goal. Even with the non-aero levers it's one of the most comfortable bikes I've ridden, but there's still room to improve.

Given my budget, my options are:

1) Index Bar end shifters and matching Shimano RD, add nice aero brake levers too.
2) Campy 8s Ergos and matching RD.

Pretty similar in price. I'm leaning towards the Ergos. Why? Because I've never had them (or ANY campy) before!
