I wouldn't worry about it too much.. if you shear the splines, then it's time for a new hub body .. I'd imagine the new 9 speed cassette will have the sprockets working on newer metal as the spacing is different than the 8 speed that came stock..

You can send a check directly to Jur... I'm sure he'll kickback a small fee to me since we're cross continental buds ...
