My first racebike was an eighties, steel, red, Peugeot kidsbike.
My parents bought it for me when I was 9 years old on the local flea market for $50.
It was rusty, but after lubing it up completely it was still in perfect condition.
I installed a little honk-trumpet on it to scare pedestrians and had great fun
