The main advantages to the Shimano cranks will be unified aesthetics with your group set which many people care about, and the quality of the shifting. The one thing Shimano has over just about every other company is that their ramp and pin design on the chain rings makes for great shifts. I don't have the current SKL but I ran one back in 2006 and honestly the quality of the chain rings was that crank set's weakness. So my guess is you would see an improvement in shifting, no difference in stiffness and yes the Ultegra will be heavier.
Thats mainly why I ask. While I'm sure the FSA SL-K Light is a decent crank, it just doesn't match Ultegra grey!
