Oh I believe you. The guy was actually in a kayak too, I misspoke. I have had similar experiences, but not in a kayak. On more than one occasion I've had them steal bread I was using as fish bait. The same thing once happened with shrimp and a pelican in florida. Hitchcock really had something....
