Congrats on the P12 RR Stubby. That sounds like a heck of a challenge.

Spent the weekend in Charleston for a friends wedding. Great to see the old college gang, some of whom I haven't seen in five years. But I did miss Twilight and Roswell. Wouldn't have missed catching up with my friends though for anything.

Twilight went well for the team. 3 qualified for the amateur main and we had one in the pro race. Two fours and a two in the amateur. They all got in the skin of their teeth.

The 2 is a teacher whose wife, also a teacher, is due with their second on June 12th. She had a Guillan Barre episode about 18 months ago so the pregnancy has been a challenge for them both. She recovered almost 100% from the GBS, which is huge. She's doing well but had an ER visit last week and isn't working for the rest of the pregnancy on docs orders. Great folks, and if you're the praying type, keep them in the list just for a safe full term pregnancy.

No palmares at Athens or Roswell for the team that I'm aware of, but Emile Abraham got third in Twilight. He's a friend of the team and we keep threatening to put him in a kit if he's not careful. 80k and 80laps. Sounds so brutal to me.... So not too bad for a 38 year old.

Maybe there's hope for rkwaki yet if he can loose 100lbs.

Training starts in earnest again this week.
You just wait you m'effer - I'll be 40 and I'm gonna smash that qualifier number if I can stop eating pizza.

Wife looked at me this weekend and asked if I had stopped weight training - told her I hadn't missed a workout yet - she said I look tiny - somewhere around 205 this morning - it's all legs baby... Riding with one of my buddies this weekend showed me the hurting a true climber at 150 pounds can put on a flatlander. Though the 3 mile pull I took at over 26 mph hurt the scrawny man
