A couple of quick questions:

1. The gears change fine now I've fitted a new indicator chain and adjusted it properly. There's a neutral notch between 2nd and 3rd - is that normal?

2. On this pic, you can see the metal lubricating port (it's a '49 hub) - should there be some kind of cover on it? It certainly drips oil at the moment, but I can't see where a cover would fit (if it indeed is missing):
