Just shy of the 5000' mark. But so close.

My Everest Challenge training has been pretty spotty. Illness, travel, and now some stabbing pains in my leg near the hip surgery scar have cut into my training time. Two steps forward, one step back. My training volume's half what it was last year. That doesn't bode well for EC.
Terry-
My EC training has been about the same. July has been a pretty crappy cycling month, family travel, stomach bug etc. I thought I was going to be able to put together training weeks of 20,000' per week for July - Sept. It turns out that living in the flatlands of Orange County make this very difficult. I am finding that about 15,000' is the most I can get in a week, In August and early Sept, I'll manage a couple of 20,000' weeks. I guess when EC comes, I'll just hope I've put in enough and try to survive off of will power . BTW, what's your take on mounting a triple vs compact double? Currently I using 53/39 x 12/27, I could probably mash through day 1 in a 39x27, but I think I'd crack on day 2 or blow my knees up. Take Care...Pat
