Hurricane Ridge starts in Port Angeles. Starting from the ferry terminal (sea level), the first 10 km is near 6-7% average then it levels out to 0% for 2 km before the park toll booth. Then the actual climb is 5.3% for 19.6 km. Elevation change is 5230 ft. (my Polar 710i recorded it as 5206 ft).
Because is has no steep pitches it doesn't count as a HC climb. Cat 1 maybe. It's actually not a hard climb... probably because there are no steep sections to wear you down.
BTW, for those of you checking the climb on Delorme Topo 5.0... the calculated slopes are *way* off. DT5.0 says it's a 11% climb with sections in the 20s. No.
