serious question- are you an older couple seriously thinking of such things, or are you just expecting a $3,000 wooden frame to last 20 years and be recognized as something awesome by a descendant rather than dumped on CL?
I guess my point is that it is a bike that will be in my family forever. My wife and I are in our mid 50s and expect to be around more than 20 years. I still have the Panasonic bike that I bought when I was 21 so I don't sell bikes on CL. As for as the Bamboo being something awesome. The guy I bought it from was going to use it as art in his resturant but a divorce changed his plans. If you have ever seen one up close, they are impressive and ride smoother than carbon or Ti.
