It was a race situation where we could attack or sit in then kill the hill with points for placing. I forgot my Power Tap head at home so I didn't have power or HR data on my 5 intervals. I believe that I was peaking out the HR at the top of the steep hill as I almost peed myself at the end of each interval. On the last one, I had to stop and "go" right after the top of the hill. Good thing the girls in our group were far enough behind that I was done before they finished.
I should be good and warmed up by the time I hit the hill. I'll ride about 15 miles, which is where I typically start to feel loose, before I get there. The hill is probably longer than I need, so I might focus on a tougher segment.

Those sound like some tough-ass intervals you did. Race pace followed by a steep hill? Sounds like potential pukage for shor.

I'm supposed to go out with the coach tomorrow. He really likes to climb, and tomorrow is his turn to pick the route. Last one I picked, which had a section that rose 1000 ft in 3 miles. He loved it. We'll see what he comes up with...
