I haven't bought much from Performance or Nashbar lately (since I have almost everything I need now ), but they were both OK with me in the past. I always include Amazon when searching online for bike items. They're a pretty formidable competitor for the specialty websites.
Regarding customer service, so far I've never had an Amazon deal that went bad, in the long run.
