..... I am intrigued by your research. Our bike is the same color and decal scheme as yours, but reads Rock N Roll on the top tube. Some of the components were obviously swapped out by the previous owner when he converted it from flat bar to drop bar. The components that remain indicate it being a 1996, but Bikepedia lists the color as purple that year.

I have sort of deduced that they might have been available in more than the one color listed at Bikepedia.
