No, don't do that. I'm already suggesting more intensity at a weekend than I normally would, just because you haven't enough time for long easy rides and can only ride about three times per week. You want a rest day after the most intense effort. If you do the descending pyramid on the Saturday, my guess is that at your current state of fitness you won't recover well enough for you to maintain the tempo ride for 90 minutes on the Sunday.

okay i get it, the rest day after the hard effort. i will be trying this with the only modification being when i do get to take a longer ride. Question about that, if i do the longer ride on say a Saturday would i still knock out the hard effort on Sunday? or would i substitute the sunday hard for the 70% effort?
